5 Benifits of having lists on your blog
Jul. 6th, 2007 by ShaunLists are an excellent way to attract more readers to read your post. They are simple and easy to read. Below is a list of why having lists on your blog is beneficial.
1. Lists are easy to read - Readers are lazy. A list will not only spark the curiosity of the lazy reader but the list can be easily scanned and the reader will get all of the information needed as quickly as possible.
2. Lists are easy to make - Sometimes it can be difficult to write an effective post and get your point across to your readers. When you make a list it clearly outlines your thoughts and ideas on the topic you are writing about. A list does not require a well written article that has good flow and is easy to read.
3. A list prevents ramblings - When you make a list you get strait to the point. I know sometimes I drift off and start writing off topic on some of my posts, but a list will ensure that this does not happen.
4. Lists are very comprehensible - When reading a list you know exactly what is going on and you do not get lost in the authors words. The reader will read the post title, then read your list provided and hopefully your list is black and white so your reader is not confused and there are no discrepancies.
5. Lists are neat - Lists are visually nice to look at. Your reader does not have to go through an entire article to gather the required information in your post.
Lists can be over used. Sometimes an article requires more than just a list, a lot of articles need a more in-depth look and this is where more content is needed. Lists create diversity in your writing and will help your blog in the long run.
