Be sure all of your ads including, sponsored reviews, text link ads, banner ads and even direct sales match the content in your blog. Lets say for example your blog is strickly about internet marketing, there should be no excuse to display ads about the stock exchange. It may bring in a few extra bucks in advertising money at the end of the month but long term this will have a negative impact on your blog.

If an advertiser is willing to advertise something that does not match the niche of your site or is not related to the content you always have the choice to decline. The advertiser might be looking for a cheap advertising source or just to increase his websites search rankings by  getting a link from your blog.

Non relevant ads discourage legitamate sponsors. If a sponsor comes accross your site and sees the mixing of  non releavant ads you might loose that sponsorship.

Non relevant ads bring nothing to your readers and seriously have a negative impact on your creditbilty as the blogger. If your ad is not relevant to your niche your readers don’t want to read it. Maintaing credibility and keeping long term readers is your ultimate goal, long term you will make more with your blog if your ads are relevant and you do not discourage any readers or advertisers.
