eBaum’s World sells for $17.5 Million
Aug. 2nd, 2007 by ShauneBaum’s world is a site that is filled with videos, images and jokes. All of the content is user-generated. HandHeld Entertainment aquired eBaums World for $15 million up front with an additional $2.5 million in HandHeld stock. eBaum’s world has been around for as long as I can remember (1998 to be exact). It has built a massive reputation for being one of the “funniest sites” on the internet.

In 2006 the site collected over $5.2 million in revenue. HandHeld Entertainment has also added to the agreement $17.5 million in HandHeld stocks if targets are reached. This is a nice chunk of money for Eric Bauman who started eBaum’s world, he should live a happy man after the settlement is complete

Lucky guy! I wish I would have thought of building websites in the 90’s. If only I could turn back time…
