Emergencey posts

In most cases a responsible and well organized blogger will decide on the posting frequency early in the blogs life. Wether you post once a week or 5 times a day make sure your posting frequency is kept relativly the same throughout the blog and make sure your readers are aware of that.

Maintaining a posting frequency is not always an easy thing to do, other activities outside of the internet world may affect the amount of time you can invest in your site. Family, friends school and work all come first and at unexpected times in your life you may not be able to find the time to write a few posts in your blog. What I do and many other successful blogges do to avoid this is have emergency posts ready to be published when you are just too busy. I have about 5 -10 posts I wrote and have them saved on my computer just to be on the safe side.

I agree, regular posts are the secret. The only problem I have is holidays and weekends away. What do you do then? Guest bloggers? Someone to run the site etc.
Mike.

Mike you can definatly use guest bloggers they increase diversity in your blog. If you are going somewhere for holidays you can always inform your readers that you will be taking a holiday.

I don’t know if you can post too much lol there are blogs out there that pump out 7 or more posts a day and they are high traffic sites.

yeah, but if you`re writing to much, and your readers can`t read all of that stuff, i have to slow down, huh?

The art of planning ahead! This will become more and more important as you require more time for other tasks as you start to increase your readership.
