Participating in Memes is good if the blog is in start up phase, you get link backs and traffic. Once your blog is popular, readers may not like you writing about the memes.

I think memes are a bit of a hot topic right now because a lot of people have found them to be cheating in terms of upping traffic and technorati rankings. I’ve done 1 meme since starting my blog and I feel as though the post is a waste of space and doesn’t add any value for the readers.

I have also participated in a few of them, and I was quite successful in getting link backs. A great way to increase blog traffic and link backs.
