I am not sure why I can't comment on some of the blog posts, but, I will comment on this one, since it was such a powerful post! Peter, you have really outdone yourself with this one, theres alot of great advice on a variety of topics to be able to market your blog, I've learned a ton! I think you should open some of the other posts to be able to comment too, so perhaps you get more comments like you suggested here.

This is the year I'll be taking the bull by it's horns in the blogsphere. Just referred back to this article, I'm in the process of getting my blog's engine up and running like an Italian beast.

Ultimately, the blog should be built for reader first and search spiders second. Its useful to have a seo friendly blog, but its more important to have a community of readers and great content!

Excellent point, well made Peter. Many people appear to forget that a blog is really a conversation with your readers. It is not a dialogue with a search engine robot. Far too many people in my view are focusing their efforts on search engines, yet it is their readers who will spend money with them.

Blogging has been the best net idea of the 21st century. It's a great media outlet for individuals to express themselves to the world. It's some grea tips you're sharing here, thank you.

I guess the foundation of a successful blog is keyword rich content that's on topics that interests the masses. By that you attract more readers each day while keeping the search engines happy too.

There is quite a bit on this topic written in this article. It is useful that you point out the current condition of the number of sites present, and what it takes to get noticed in the abundance of sites that are available. The last point about controversy is quite accurate, as there may be an individual not wanting the spot they wanted to have to be taken by another.

I like the reference to "black hole SEO" by the way. It is sooo much more descriptive than "black hat SEO"

SEO for blogs is indeed a whole new art form. Static pages are one thing, and one can be mechanical in one's execution, but the social dynamic inherent in blogs is opening a whole new realm to SEO people. I love it!
