Preview before you publish
Jul. 9th, 2007 by ShaunWhen I publish my posts I normally read over the post 2-3 times to check for spelling and grammar then just publish the post. Sometimes my posts will have a spelling mistake, punctuation error or something no matter how many times I proof read the post.
For all of us Word Press users we have the luxury of the “preview” option. This simple yet useful option offers the chance to view your post as if it were actually published on your site as opposed viewing the post in the text editor. This gives your mind the chance to view your context in a different setting which can help pick out any errors in your post. I find you can recognize errors more easily and in general will give you a better idea of the layout of the post.
Always use the preview feature it will do your site wonders

I think previewing should be mandatory before the post gets published! Even so, I heavily use previewing and errors still creep in. I can only look at the same text for so long before it starts to look fine no matter what.

Yep this is good advice. Really easy to make mistakes. Since many bloggers don’t have editors (a separate person who is proofing stuff before it’s published) we should do what we can to proof the text…
