As a poster myself I would believe that the 2 most important points that you have posted above are good content and the interaction by you, by responding to our thoughts. It shows that you care about what we have to say.

On the note of no follow that Sandy mentions above I like to keep an even split between no follow and follows, so if you have it then so be it. Ideally a follow is far better.

I would agree with most of your points above. There is one thing that I would recommend for your blog. Increase the size of the font slightly, I know to click Ctrl + but not everyone does. Bigger text makes an easier read.

Personally I am a big believer in NOT using the nofollow tag. Obviously if you do this you will need to definitely have akismet running and you will also need to heavily moderate your blog. There are some very good commentors out there who want links and are willing to give you good content in exchange. Of course their are loads of spammers too but thats why we moderate.
