Use BlogRush To Increase Website Traffic
Sep. 18th, 2007 by ShaunBlog Rush is the new hype around the blogsphere. It was just released 2 days ago thanks to John Reese, a well known internet marketer. The success and growth of BlogRush apparently has been amazing far. BlogRush sends free targeted traffic to anyone who has the widget installed on their website, (assuming the website with the widget actually gets some traffic to the site in the first place).
The logistics behind BlogRush are fairly simple, BlogRush operates similar to a pyramid scheme, the more referrals you get the more traffic you get to your site. All you have to do is sign up which only took me less than 3 minutes, get the code and install it on your site. You are also given a referral URL which you can use to promote this product on your website or blog to earn referrals. The referral system goes down as far as 10 levels, meaning if you sign up one person and that person signs up 9 others you get credit for all 10 people who have signed up. The number of page impressions your referee obtains will be added to your total credit score. Lets do some simple math to figure out the possibilities of this: you get 500 page views per day, you sign up 10 other people who also get 500 page views per day; this amounts to having your link shown on other blogs and websites that have this widget installed a total of 5,500 times per day. Those are some fairly impressive stats considering all of this traffic you get is esentially free.
I have no idea what the click through rates are for this widget on other blogs because this has only been out for 2 days. In my example above lets say the CTR was only 1% you would get an extra 55 visitors to your site.
You can earn extra credits every time a page on your website or blog has been loaded. One page load is equal to one credit. So if you get 500 pageviews per day your most recent blog post will be displayed on other websites and blogs that have this widget installed 500 times. So in other words every page load on your website is equal to one page impression on another website. The ratio is very enticing because not very many other traffic generating programs have a 1:1 ratio such as this. You get what you deserve basically.
I am not guaranteeing that this widget will generate a lot of traffic because it is still in it’s infant stages but I do know the earlier you get in on BlogRush the better off you are in the long run. The blogs that sign up first will get the most traffic from this widget. The widget has only been released for two days now so there is still time to get this widget up and running. A lot of “Big” names in the blog world have this installed already including John Chow, DoshDosh, and NetBusinessBlog so don’t think your alone out there with this widget!!!
If you are interested in this generating some extra traffic to your blog just install the widget here!

Looks I like I’ll also have to try. everyone’s doing it
. At first, I thought that it might slow down the blog sidebar. But I was wrong. I haven’t seen a blog with a slow sidebar because of BlogRush.

It seems to me that they were clearly underestimating the rush. Almost none of the promised features works at this time. I’ve been directed to blogs that do not have the widget installed. I also once stumbled upon a porn blog! How they are selected and why is out of my knowledge. Perhaps adding a propper filtering (something more advanced than blog category) will sort all this out.
Fortunately though, they’re working hard and welcome user feedback. Hopefully, all the issues will be fixed soon.

@ joel: good stuff I’m exceited to see if i get any visitors at all
@haris: yeh i don’t think it slowed anything down for my site (not that i’ve noticed so far). Good luck with it!!!
@Jimbo: I know they greatly underestimated the launch of this. A porn blog? weird haha i’m sure their alogorithm will smooth everytyhing out eventually. I hope they get fixed soon to I want to see this in full action!

This thing is getting viral . I can see this on almost all the blogs . I guess it should give it a go as well .

I would use it but the widget is too big to fit in my sidebar. They really need to make it adjustable so that all blogs can use it.

Everyone is talking about it!!

@ madhur: yeh give it a try and if it really doesn’t work out then just remove the widget. you got nothing to lose.
@tall freak: that’s no good I’m sure they will make the widget customizable in the future if they want any chance of success with this thing.
@susan: yeh everyone has it so join in! lol

I’ve installed it the second day after the “quiet launching”.
Generate 2 clicks from 200 impressions. How is yours?
September 18th, 2007 at 11:53 pm
@ ken: in 24 hours I’ve had 500 page views and 0 visitors to my site
I don’t know why but I’ll keep this going
@YC: I know i’ve seen blogs that hide their widget. they should make their widget more customizable or they will loose many users. good luck with Blog Rush!

I’m having problems with the size of the widget as well. It messes up my blog when loaded on IE. Waiting for their reply…
So far, I’ve apparently had only 1 click over 1000+ impressions lol
Actually most blogs are placing it where it’s not noticeable, so it diminishes its value. I do it too, gotta think of some way to get round it.

Just like what Darren Said, the conversion is extremely low. (his is 79000 : 35 clicks) OMG. I wonder if this tool could exist longer than 1 month in the blogosphere.

i don’t think this widget really brings any value compare to the values recieved by this widget creator. our adspace is valuable asset so we need to use it for our own benefit not others.
