Using forums to promote your blog

An easy and free way to promote your blog is by contributing to online forums. Before you become active in these forums it’s probably a good idea to find a few forums that cover topics that you are familiar with and contains content relevant to your site or blog.

Big-Boards is a very useful resource to assist you in finding large online forums. They track thousands of the largest online boards on the internet. After finding a few forums which are most relevant to you, you will need to register and customize your profile. Many online forums have the option of a customizable signature which is probably a good place to link to your blog, along with a brief description of what users can find there. Once you have created a profile you are ready to engage in any discussion which arouses your interest.

Be sure to contribute to the discussion with useful information because the comments you leave clearly reflects the information you provide on your blog. If you consistently provide quality information on these forums other users will be compelled to check out your signature link!
